It's coming September 22-23 at the Remax Center, the first, hopefully annual Craft Beer Attraction. Tom and I are bringing this to you and we are well under way getting it together. We need your help in the form of volunteers. This should be a fun event with more than 80 beers that have never been to Nl on the menu. Check it out. Cheers

Volunteers Needed:
1​Friday​welcome guests into two lines, tell them to have ticket and ID ready

Arrive at 6:00 pm, greet guests until about 8:00 pm, enter and enjoy the tasting free of entry fee until 10:00 pm. You may require an umbrella and rain gear. Tom or Matt will give you 5 beer tokens.

2​Friday​Inside door, one each side to check tickets [Security Solutions NL will check ID]

Arrive at 6:00 pm, check tickets, hand out program and map, until about 8:00 pm, enter and enjoy the tasting free of entry fee until 10:00 pm. Tom or Matt will give you 5 beer tokens.

Arrive at 6:00 pm, inventory beer in the bar cooler, when bottles of a given beer are sold out replace them from cold beer from the tasting floor, add the replacement bottles to the inventory, inventory the beer at the end of the evening, collect the beer tokens from the bartender and count them, give tokens, count, and inventories to Tom or Matt who will give you $40.00 to cover the cost of your purchasing a ticket to the General Tasting event.

Arrive at 6:00 pm, distribute ice from the fish tub outside the Curling rink to the various beer serving tables. Refill the ice as required and remove water as necessary. At the end of the evening, see Tom or Matt who will give you $40.00 to cover the cost of your purchasing a ticket to the General Tasting event.

Arrive at 6:30 pm, distribute filled clean water jugs to each beer tasting table. Refill the clean water jugs as necessary. At the end of the evening, see Tom or Matt who will give you $40.00 to cover the cost of your purchasing a ticket to the General Tasting event.

Arrive at 6:30 pm, distribute swish jugs to each beer tasting table. Empty the swish jugs as necessary. At the end of the evening, see Tom or Matt who will give you $40.00 to cover the cost of your purchasing a ticket to the General Tasting event.

Prior to arrival, please read the notes on the two beer you will be pouring. Arrive at 6:15 pm, put some of your beer into the ice and water bucket to cool, at 6:30 pm open one bottle of each beer, take the beer token(s) from the guests as they arrive [and keep the tokens safe], pour to the 50 ml tideline on the tasting glass, answer questions as appropriate, keep a supply of beer in the ice water. At the end of the evening, give the tokens you collected to Tom or Matt who will give you $40.00 to cover the cost of your purchasing a ticket to the General Tasting event.

Hi,

Tickets to the Craft Beer Attraction are now open for sale to the public
at www.craftbeerattraction.ca

Now is the time to let your friends know about the forthcoming Grand
Tastings, a special tasting of 21 beer with Certified Cicerone Mike
Buhler, and a tasting of the very rare Utopias from Samuel Adams.

The event will be held at the St. John's Curling Club on Mayor Avenue
where we will hold the Grand Tasting of 106 beers, most selected
specially by Mike Buhler, in the rink area to provide plenty of space
for all participants.

In the lounge area, selected beer will be available by the open bottle
to accommodate larger groups. There will be a slight discount in the
price of these beer.

The 50 ml tastes in the rink area cost mainly $1.00 while some of the
more expensive beer cost up to $3.00 for that size sample. Join up with
a buddy and share a sample by purchasing a separate beer glass for $5.00
to collect the beer and then pour half into each of your tasting glasses.

The first beer of the evening is included in your ticket along with the
tasting beer glass. We are serving 100 ml of Trou du Diable Saison du
Tracteur. There are also two tokens included on your event program to be
used as you wish.

We look forward to welcoming you and your friends to the craft beer
event of 2017.
