Exactly - as you well know, I've made no secret of my utter contempt for NLC. As far as I'm concerned, they exist only to make it as painful as possible for people to exercise their right to drink. The regulation and taxation of beer in particular is outrageous.
Stavanger appeared to have pretty much everything as well. At least, I got everything I wanted. I even exerted a little self-control and left some Collective IPA #5 for the next guy!

Oh, they're spectacular. My problem is, I've got a couple hundred other dark beers in my cellar, so I'm on a buying moratorium until that gets reduced significantly. A group tasting comparo, though, would definitely be an interesting idea!
Brother-in-law snagged me a Calm Tom and a Zodiak. Colour me impressed .
